The name "team bivy" came from the repeated bivies that we seemed to have [0] early on in our climbing lives. Well hell, we are still having them. This name then morphed into team hammergel, and others, but team bivy still rings true. The original founding members are Sid Wiesner, Christian Mason, Don, and Ryan.
